The very first ANW was held in a parking lot behind a Best Buy! We have come a long way! This was during a heatwave in California and things were filmed during the day back then. It was extremely hot and I ended up getting blisters on my hands from the heat on the warped wall when I missed and slid down. It took me 3 tries to make it up and by then I had a slow time clearing. You needed to be in the top 30 times in order to move on and at the end of the 2 days of qualifying runs I was 37th place. So not close enough this time!
